A TERRIFYING trio of horror films is being shown this week at Redditch's Palace Theatre.

Promising something for even the most hardy of horror film fans the Halloween fright night event features a screening of three new spooky midlands-made horror films.

These include Shadow of the Steeple, Behind these Eyes, and Penny for the Guy, produced by Redditch company Big Frog Films.

Penny for the Guy is a 20 minute short filmed entirely in Redditch and stars local couple Carla and Nigel Buckley, and Worcester-based actor Simon Thompson.

Big Frog remain tight lipped on the story as it doesn’t want to give too much away but say there are a few twists and turns and shock moments throughout.

A spokesman from the theatre said: "In an evening hosted by Redditch undertaker Weird Mortimer Balmer, it’ll be a Halloween night that will give you the fright of you life."

As well as the horror films people are being urged to dress to scare with the most frightening efforts rewarded.

The Halloween fright night event is on Saturday, October 31 starting at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £4 (inclusive of booking fee 75p per ticket up to a maximum of £3) from redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk.

Suitable for those aged 15 and over.
