A FECKENHAM artist currently battling prostate cancer is holding an exhibition of more than 50 original watercolours and acrylics, in aid of charity.

Since being diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year Ian Ridley has gone through a seven week course of radiotherapy at the new Oncology Department at Worcester, and is now attending appointments at the Alexandra Hospital.

Mr Ridley has nothing but praise for the professionalism and care that he has received over the last eight months.

He is holding the exhibition to raise cash fro cancer charities as well as to raise awareness of the condition.

Mr Ridley, a member of the prestigious Birmingham Watercolour Society, has also been selling copies of his book of prints “Never the same Tree Twice” and a set of fine art cards.

He will be making a donation from sales at the exhibition.

The art exhibition runs from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, October 25 from 10.30am to 4pm at Feckenham Village Hall.
