TWO immensely popular productions from the Royal Shakespeare Company earlier this year were Love’s Labour’s Lost and Love’s Labour’s Won which played to packed houses at Stratford-upon-Avon’s Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Now the plays, both directed by Christopher Luscombe, are being made available to pre-order on DVD.
The two plays were broadcast back in February and March to over 450 cinemas each across the country, whilst also being available in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Europe.
As well as the full stage productions, both DVDs contain extras including an interview with composer Nigel Hess, a director’s commentary and a cast gallery.
These will be the latest DVDs released by the RSC in collaboration with Opus Arte, in an ongoing series of broadcasted RSC productions.
Copies of the individual DVDs are priced at £19.99 with copies of the Blu-Rays priced at £24.99. The productions are also available as a box set priced £34.99 in DVD format and £39.99 in Blu Ray format and will be available to pre-order from the RSC online shop http://www.rsc.org.uk/shop/
The titles will be released on September 1, 2015. CDs of the music and speeches from Love’s Labour’s Lost and Love’s Labour’s Won are also available from the RSC online shop.
