FAMILIES in Redditch are being invited to a Messy Church summer fun session.

The aim of Messy Church, for people who don't feel comfortable with a typical church service, is to provide an informal environment to experience worship.

Rhiannon Walpole, one of the volunteers at Messy Church, described it as “church, but not as we know it".

"Messy Church is a way of being church for families and others based around welcome, crafts and art, celebration and eating together,” she said

“Messy church is a time to chill, chat, create, celebrate and eat, and it's all free."

She added: "We are really excited about our summer Messy Church and looking forward to celebrating in the beautiful gardens together.”

A fun session will take place in the gardens of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, off Beoley Road West on Monday, August 17 at 2pm.

All are welcome.
