THE Paperboys are renowned for their energetic live performances and have wowed festival goers the world over.
Lead singer is Mexican-born Tom Landa who is the only current band member to have been there from the start.
In a mid-90s music scene in Vancouver dominated by flannel and grunge, Tom had a vision of forming a group that fused folk, Celtic and bluegrass music.
Nowadays, they dig deep into Tom’s Mexican heritage and his richly expressive vocals are backed by a combination of whistle, flute, banjo, percussion, guitar and the jarana, a small Mexican guitar.
This band will deliver an intoxicating mixture of joyful and heartbreaking tunes that will appeal to everyone.
The Paperboys are performing at Bromsgrove's Artrix on Sunday, July 26 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £14 and are available from the box office on 01527 577330 or online at artrix.co.uk.
