REDDITCH'S Palace Theatre is proud to welcome back to the stage former Birmingham Poet Laureate Giovanni Esposito, known to many as Spoz.

Residents are being invited to come and watch the young generation tell a story through their own words, and like gladiators to the coliseum they come to wage a war of words.

Some gladiators will fall and some emerge victorious, with a jolly nice trophy, a pat on the head from teacher and no detentions for at least a week.

This live final is the culmination of a poetry slam project, involving a number of middle schools from Worcestershire, which has seen young people trying to find out “who has the X Factor” but in a poetic kind of way.

A spokesman from the theatre, said: "Join us in support of these young talents as they take each other on in this great battle verses."

Tickets for the poetry slam are available in person or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced £6.75 (£4.75 discount) inclusive of booking fee 75p per seat up to a maximum £3
