YOUNGSTERS from Bromsgrove School are returning to the Artrix to bring one of Shakespeare's best loved romances to the stage later this month.

The Winter’s Tale is Shakespeare's classic story of love, loss and renewal.

Although it was grouped among the comedies, some modern editors have relabelled the play as one of Shakespeare's late romances.

Some critics consider it to be one of Shakespeare's "problem plays", because the first three acts are filled with intense psychological drama, while the last two acts are comedic and supply a happy ending.

Following numerous successful drama productions in recent years, the students are getting ready to enchant audiences with their re-telling of this heart-warming tale for a cold winter's night.

Bromsgrove School presents The Winter’s Tale at Artrix from Tuesday to Thursday, November 25 to 27 at 7.15pm.

Tickets cost £10 (£5 for over 60 and under 16s) from the box office on 01527 577330 or from artrix.co.uk.
