A CHOIR with over 100 years of history will be performing at a Bromsgrove church this month.
The Kidderminster Male Choir, celebrating its 110th anniversary this year, is appearing at St John's Church at 7pm on Saturday, November 15.
One of Britain's oldest and most respected male voice choirs, its roots can be dated back as far as Orpheus Singers of 1878.
It was an active competition choir up to 2003, when it switched emphasis to raising money for national and local charities.
The choir performs, in several languages, a wide range of music including opera and religious, folk, popular songs and favourites from theatre and the cinema.
At the concert at the Kidderminster Road-based church there will also be guest choirs Meadows First School and St John's C of E Middle School.
Tickets for the concert cost £10. Under 15s go free. The price includes an interval drink.
Tickets are available by emailing fundraising@stjohns.bromsgroveparish.org.uk, in person at St John's Parish Office, or on the door on the night.
