FANS of blues, folk and roots music are being encouraged to come to Redditch's Palace Theatre to see live music at its best when the scintillating Babajack perform.

The band, comprising Becky Tate and Trevor Steger, specialise in a unique blend of roots/blues/folk fusion, combining great musicianship, passion and energy that is guaranteed to wow any audience.

The band have released four albums in the last five years with each one gaining greater media attention and sales figures from the music loving public, as their reputation continues to grow.

The latest release, Running Man, is set to put the band at the very top of their field.

Launched at the end of last year, Running Man is considered one of the finest albums of its genre to be released in recent years and deservedly won coveted slots in the top 10 albums of the year in a number of prestigious awards and magazines.

What sets Babajack apart from others is their approach to the music – it is recognisably infused in part by early blues but is in no way bound by that.

Becky brings roots/funk/African rhythms to the band’s sound along with her beautiful vocals.

Trevor brings his own mixture of ‘Punk meets Ry Cooder’ to his slide guitar style and harmonica while the rhythm section of Tosh Murase and Adam Bertenshaw help create a powerful sound that is something special.

The band will be at the Palace on Friday, November 7 starting at 7:45pm.

Tickets are available in person or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced £10.75 (inclusive of booking fee 75p per seat up to a maximum £3).
