THE deadline for this year's Acorns Triple Run is fast approaching.

So far the charity, which is based in Wythall, has more than 1,000 people signed up for the event

Taking place on Sunday, June 22 at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, the aim is to raise vital cash for the hospice.

The run consists of a 1km fun run, a 5km woodland trail and the Malvern Half Marathon.

Shujea Khatun, Acorns major events officer, said: “We’re really pleased with the number of people who have signed up, but we’re holding a final push to sign up more participants.

“Acorns Children's Hospice doesn’t charge families for making use of its services, regardless of the ever increasing costs involved. We rely heavily on public fund-raising and voluntary donations from events such as this provide us with the majority of the funding we need to operate.”

The deadline for entries is tonight Wednesday, June 18.
