VISUAL artists of all forms and experience levels will have the chance to get involved with the latest project from the Arts in Redditch (AIR) Network.

In anticipation of holding a pop-up gallery from May 10 to 19, AIR, which is supported by Redditch Borough Council, is encouraging artists to attend an open session in the Kingfisher Centre on Thursday, April 3, to discuss the proposal.

Artists in attendance will have the opportunity to give their opinions, ask questions, network with other artists and take a look around potential pop-up gallery locations.

The artists will also have the opportunity to sign up to put on their own paid workshop during the week-long event to pass on skills to members of the public.

Huw Moseley, arts development and events officer for Redditch Borough Council, said: “Pop-up galleries tend to be much easier for artists to access which is why we’ve decided to do one to show off all the amazing work of our budding, experienced, professional or amateur Redditch Artists.”

“Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, photographer or even a wood-worker, we want every kind of visual art possible in our gallery.

"I would urge artists that think it is a good idea to come to our open session and find out how they can get involved.”

Artists should arrive for the session at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

It will be held in the Kingfisher Management Suite and tea and coffee will be served on arrival.

Any artists interested in coming to the open session should register at artsinredditch.com or email rbritain@blueyonder.co.uk.
