Toy Story fans will have a longer wait before the fourth film is released.
Disney-Pixar has revealed that Toy Story 4 has been pushed back by a year, and will not hit screens until June 2018.
Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Annie Potts will reprise their voice roles as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep respectively in the fourth film, which was announced in November 2014 and originally scheduled for release in June 2017.
John Lasseter will return to direct alongside Inside Out’s Josh Cooley, with comedians Rashida Jones and Will McCormack on screenwriting duties.
John revealed at Disney’s D23 Expo in August that Toy Story 4 would focus on the romance between Woody and Bo Peep.
He said: “We came up with this idea because Bo Peep was not in Toy Story 3, and it actually worked beautifully into this… So Woody and Buzz Lightyear go out to find Bo Peep and bring her back, and it’s a very special and emotional love story. But it’s extremely funny too.”
Disney-Pixar also unveiled the rest of their upcoming slate, which includes Cars 3 released in June 2017 and The Incredibles 2 to be out in June 2019.
