THE “hilarious” series of parody films is back with the latest DVD release of Disaster Movie, and if ever a film had an appropriate title, this is it.

Making fun of recent flicks such as Iron Man, Sex and the City and Kung-Fu Panda, the story follows the plight of Will, who has to return a crystal skull to an altar for some improbable reason after he is told the world will end by singer Amy Winehouse.

And that’s as good as it gets folks, yes, that’s right, a saber-toothed, gasoline-drinking Amy Winehouse predicting the end of the world.

Does that sound like fun to you? Does this class as entertainment nowadays?

Is the multi-national conglomerate that commissioned this rubbish the embodiment of evil?

How about I make a prophecy about the end of the world; if enough people watch this kind of drivel maybe the collective brainpower of society will diminish to a level where we no longer know the basic skills for survival and we collapse in a heap of our own bad moviemaking.

It’s a better plot than this film.
