Dolly Parton’s performance at Glastonbury festival has been named the best pop music moment of 2014.

The 68-year-old country star appeared in the prestigious Sunday afternoon slot at the legendary festival in June this year, and a poll by music streaming service blinkbox voted her the top musical highlight of the year.

Fleetwood Mac’s reunion, which saw Christine McVie return to the group for the first time in 16 years, came just behind Dolly in second place in the survey voted for by 2,000 people.

Kate Bush’s comeback gigs, which sold out in just 15 minutes, were named the fourth best pop music moment of the year, just behind Sam Smith’s moving performance of Stay With Me at the MTV Video Music Awards.

And Band Aid 2014 – a rerecording of the 80s charity single to help raise money for the sufferers of Ebola – rounded off the top five.

Beyonce’s extended performance at the MTV Video Music Awards was voted the sixth best pop music moment of 2014, followed by Pharrell Williams wearing his Vivienne Westwood hat to the Grammys, and Tayor Swift’s performance at the Victoria’s Secret show taking the eighth spot.

Robbie Williams’ hilarious live-vlogging of the birth of his second child and U2 giving away their album for free jointly shared the ninth spot, followed by S Club 7′s reunion.
