HAVEN Holidays will be exhibiting at the NEC Boat and Caravan show for the first time this year.
Touring marketing manager Clare Green said; "The show provides a fantastic opportunity to introduce Haven’s family holiday Parks all around the UK and to give people an insight into the wide choice of facilities we have on offer.
"Lots of people who are new to caravanning don’t realise that our extensive programme of entertainment and activities is available to tourers as well."
And this year touring at Haven has had an added boost with millions of pounds invested in improving facilities and pitches at a number of parks.
Blue Dolphin on the stunning North Yorkshire coast; Kiln Park, which has direct access Tenby’s South Beach; Seaview near Weymouth on the Jurassic Coast; Lakeland in the Lake District and The Orchards at Clacton on Sea in Essex will all benefit from enhancements to their touring areas.
Rockley Park, which overlooks Poole Harbour and is hugely popular with water-sports enthusiasts, will see the touring area relocated closer to the fantastic facilities and will benefit from a brand new shower block and pitches. Caister will also be available to touring caravanners for the first time.
This year Haven are also investing considerably in new exciting holiday facilities.
They say: "The stay-cation is definitely here to stay. Early booking figures indicate that more and more people are choosing to holiday in the UK. We want to provide not just the ‘Wow’ factor for families but also a wide range of holiday options to suit everybody."
New for 2010 will be a Space Bowl and flumes to make the swimming pool at Marton Mere, near Blackpool a ‘must’ for thrill seekers. Adventure golf courses, new sports areas, tennis courts and new facilities within the swimming pools are amongst the improvements taking place at a number of Haven’s 23 touring parks.
Families choosing to bring along their own tent, trailer tent, caravan or motorhome to a Haven park can look forward to a wide choice of sports from football and basketball to tennis, archery, fencing and even golf, fishing or horse-riding.
There are kids’ clubs for all ages, Wake and Shake sessions and entertainment that ranges from character shows, games and competitions for all the family to music, dancing, cabaret and professionally choreographed stage-shows.
Pitches range from simple grass bases to fully serviced ‘Euro’ pitches with hard-standing bases, electricity, water and drainage and even a TV connection.
It’s worth booking early to secure your first choice of park, pitch and date. Currently Spring break prices start at £3 per night based on two people sharing a basic pitch at Blue Dolphin (a saving of 50 percent) and you can book the Easter school holidays from £12 per pitch per night, saving 30 percent on the brochure cost. Summer school holiday breaks start from £18 per pitch night.
