JAZZ trio Spats Langham's Hot Fingers are preparing for a triumphant return to Halesowen later this month.

The jazz club at Halesowen Cricket Club, Dogkennel Lane, is hosting the popular band on Sunday, November 23.

Trevor Jones, from the club, is looking forward to the gig.

He said: "The return of Spats Langham's Hot Fingers is much anticipated as they never fail to provide a superb evening of entertainment.

"The highly talented, string orientated trio, which consists of Tom 'Spats' Langham on guitar, banjo and ukulele, Danny Blyth on guitar, clarinet, bass clarinet and triangle amongst others and Malcolm Sked on double bass and tuba, with Spats providing most of the vocals."

The band play classics from song-writers such as Cole Porter and Irving Berlin, and vocalists the Ink-Spots, Al Bowlly and Bing Crosby mixed with rarely heard hot syncopated jazz tunes.

The evening runs from 8.30 and 11pm and admission, on the door, is £4.
